Grades We Play

The Barossa Valley Hockey Association is running competitions in the following grades for its main winter season 2022.

• A grade women
• A grade men
• B grade women
• B grade men
• C grade men
• Under 16 Mixed
• Under 14 Mixed
• Under 12 Mixed

In addition to the competition grades most clubs also offer modified rules in U10, U8 programs that have an optional Saturday session for children aged 5-10. All clubs welcome younger children, or children who just want to train midweek but not play matches on Saturdays.

Most clubs field teams in most grades. Trinity College only fields teams in junior grades and Trinity Old Scholars only fields teams in senior grades. Please contact your club (via the Clubs menu) to see if they field a team in the grade you are interested.

Other Programs

Summer hockey was offered for the first time in the summer of 2014/15 and was again a huge success the following year. It is now a permanent fixture on the Barossa hockey scene. Information generally appears on Facebook, this website and via clubs as summer approaches.
